Happy Saturday Greetings to all!

Yesterday one of our very best groups left (who am I kidding – we really do love all y’all) but these guys might take the cake for road warriors.  They drive all the way from Colorado!!!  What a trip.  I think they would tell you it is worth it, though.  The entire lodge was full with the Holiski clan this year and it made for some good times.  There were several young anglers on the water this week, so naturally lots of nice fish were caught and released.  The northern pike fishing has been phenomenal.  The walleye action is definitely starting to turn on more each day as well.  Here are some of the top fish from this past week.

(Spoiler alert: there is a new record for the season so far in the bunch!)

Here is Nick getting “caught” snoozing in the boat and with a nice northern. netted Nick Nick northern

Here is Connor with a 33″ northern on Parker.

Connor’s dad, Ben, caught this 38″ northern.  It always helps when you get your tongue just right.

Dalton was the rookie this year, but you would never have known!  This was his 35″ northern and a nice walleye caught and released on Parker.  Nice assists, Stan & Jan!

Stan caught this nice 42″ northern on Parker as well…

You would think that would have been enough to be big fish of the week, but NO!  Jan is the current leader for 2014 with this monster 44.5″ northern off of Parker.  Way to go Jan!

She caught that before breakfast Thursday in the rain.  How cool is that?  This morning she said her arm hurt from holding up that fish yesterday and I told her I didn’t think she was going to get much sympathy from anyone on the ride home – ha!

And when the kiddos got their fill of fishing and were too hot (it was in the upper 70’s) they decided to cool off with a swim.  So. Much. Fun.  Mr. Travis even made an appearance and he does NOT take swimming in a lake with giant fish lightly.

These guys and gals know how to have a good time and we look forward to their family making it up every year.  Thanks everyone for an awesome week.  Safe travels!
