Another couple of weeks with great guests and outstanding fishing! We saw lots of familiar faces with a few first-time guests. It made for a truly fun couple of weeks!
Fishing picked up and a lot of nice fish were caught and released. Again fish were being caught in various depths of water and not necessarily in familiar or normal spots, so be prepared to work and fish a little harder than unusual. Lindy rigging was the go-to method using crawlers or leeches.
The weather has been about as predictable as the fishing, we have had a lot of hot muggy days with little to no rain and then all of the sudden we received 5 inches of rain in two days which really helped to green up the place and help with some forest fires that have been burning in the area, no immediate threat to our guests or to the lodge.
