Looking Ahead To The 2022 Season

We remain optimistic as the 2022 season approaches and are excited to move forward to some sense of normalcy. Recent updates have indicated that Ontario plans to lift all remaining public health measures including proof of vaccination and mask requirements indoors by March 2022.

At a recent news conference in Toronto with Premier Doug Ford, Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Keiran Moore and Minister of Health Christine Elliott, it was announced that the removal of the measures will take place “slowly and incrementally” over the next six months, guided by ongoing monitoring of key public health indicators.

Those indicators include: whether any new COVID-19 variants arise, how many people are in hospital and ICU with the illness, and if the province once again sees a rapid increase in transmission of the disease.

Border crossing requirements remain the same as of now, you will need to be fully vaccinated, have a negative test within the past 72 hours, you must complete your travels using the ARRIVE CAN app 72 hours prior to arrival, and have a suitable quarantine plan if you test positive during random testing. We encourage everyone to familiarize themselves with all of the requirements as we feel that most if not all of them will remain in place during the 2022 season.

Please note that these are the current requirements and that they may change,  please click here for information from the Canadian Border Agency.

Stay tuned to our blog over the next several months as we will be updating our availability, posting border updates, and much more!!

Take care,

The Holiski’s
