All great things must come to an end {Week 15}

Our final week of the season, started off just as our opener, guests were arriving with hopes of catching that fish of a lifetime and to get a little rest and relaxation. Weather was typical of early fall , coolers temperatures and shorter days.
The week was filled with a lot of talk about past trips and of course the tales of the big ones that got away! One such conversation that I would like to share with everyone is one that I had with Zeke Doolitte who comes up regularly with his father Kendall. Upon arrival, I greeted Zeke and said that I was glad to see him he replied that was glad to be here and that he was excited and I mean really excited to catch that 20-inch walleye that got away last year.
Zeke fished hard the entire week, come rain or wind he was on the water determined to catch that walleye, though that 20-inch walleye proved to be elusive Zeke was rewarded for all of his hard work and determination catching his first Master Angler Small Mouth Bass!

We are currently back in Colorado and we have completed the process of closing up the lodge. We’re thankful for everyone’s support this seaon and will keep everyone up to date with future blog posts.
