Fishing was excellent again this week. The guys weathered a couple days of thunderstorms followed by a couple of hot and sunny days, but still caught plenty of fish.
Matthew shows off an impressive 25.5″ walleye.
Nels released this 25″ walleye.
And this 25″ fish!
Larry, Shawn, & Mike boated over 500 fish. Here’s Larry with a healthy 35″ northern pike.
Not all of them were big. This perch hit a lure that may have been bigger than the perch.
Bob caught a few mighty fine fish.
Shawn also caught a 24″ walleye.
Nels capped the week off with a beautiful 27.5″ walleye which ties him for 2nd place on the season leaderboard.
Walleye were caught in 5′-15′ of water on the usual suspects – jigs and lindy rigs. Crawlers and leeches were productive. Weed growth continues and some patches are starting to hold fish. While pike numbers were good, we didn’t see the top end size we usually see each week so we’ll look for that to pick up this week!
