Beautiful Colorado and Snowy Red Lake

Spring has sprung here in Colorado with temperatures getting into the mid 80’s this week.  We are finalizing our plans to head north around the middle of May to begin the process of getting the camp up and running for the season opener.

The Red Lake area has experienced above-normal snowfall this season which in all likelihood will lead to a later than normal ice out.

Our plan is a wait-and-see approach with the hope that the weather cooperates and things thaw out as to allow us access to the camp. We will be updating the blog with our travel plans as well as projected ice-out dates so be sure and check the blog for updates.

Please review the following requirements for crossing the border:

  • Fully vaccinated with an approved vaccine along with proof of vaccine status.

  • You may be randomly selected to take a covid test upon entering the country, be prepared to provide them your quarantine plan. Note your quarantine plan must include the physical address of the lodge which is Lot HK255, Fairlie, Ontario Canada POV 2M0.
