After a long winter and weeks of watching the ice slowly give way, we are excited to officially say that camp is OPEN at Eagle Falls Lodge! The lake is finally clear, the ice is gone, and our first guests of the season have arrived safely in camp.
It still feels a little more like spring than summer up here in Red Lake — the mornings are cold, jackets are still a necessity, and the coffee tastes even better by the fire. But after months of snow, ice, there’s nothing better than hearing boats on the water again and seeing camp come back to life.
Opening week always brings a special kind of excitement. The docks are in, cabins are ready, the boats are running, and the anticipation for another unforgettable fishing season is here. There’s still that crisp northern air, but the longer days, open water, and first stories from the lake remind us why we love this place so much.
To everyone joining us this season — welcome back. We’re looking forward to another summer filled with fishing, laughter, shore lunches, sunsets, and memories made at camp.
