Hello everyone!
We hope you are all handling the busy holidays with ease. We hosted Thanksgiving at our house this year – which kind of reminded us of every Sunday at the lodge! We added in some of our favorite dishes and ate WAY too much, but its okay because we started the day off with our annual tradition of running the local Thanksgiving turkey trot road race.
But lets not dwell on the past! There are less than three weeks to Christmas. We spent last weekend writing, editing, printing, folding, stuffing, and stamping the much anticipated annual Eagle Falls Lodge holiday letter. And it is on its way to you! I dropped off almost 500 letters at the Post Office yesterday – whew. If you don’t receive a letter, or if you would like a letter sent by email please let us know. We will gladly send one your way.
Good luck with all your own holiday preparations. I know for us it is always good to get this marked off our “to-do” list. Even if you feel like there are endless gifts to buy and cookies to bake/eat, take a moment to pause. Slow down. Enjoy the moment. Snuggle in and read a book. Go for a run with a friend to catch up. Give big hugs to distant relatives that are in town visiting.
Breathe deep…..Canada is only a few months away.
