Hello to all!
Sorry for the brief hiatus on blog posting this past week. Travis and I were busy enjoying our mid-summer R&R week which we was thoroughly enjoyed with friends and family for the past 7 days. We try to give our selves this week to catch up on rest, do less dishes, do MORE fishing, and attempt to catch up on some projects as well. The project part fell a little short this year (due to the extra rest and extra fishing that was also on our “to-do” list).
To say this group had a good time is a bit of an understatement. We had a few younger anglers in camp that did a great job with fishing and helping out everyday around the lodge. Lots of swimming off the dock as well!
Here is Travis with Erin, Asa, and Harper. Asa caught two 25″ walleye!
Here is Aunt June with a nice northern:
Tyler spent the entire week fly-fishing! He caught lots of nice walleye and northern:
Erin and Harper with another northern:
Connor was an excellent boat captain!
Cora, Megan, and Harper hanging out on the barge:
Megan and Mercer – they partnered up for a good portion of the week.
Our good friends form Illinois brought their inflatable kayak which proved to be a lot of fun on Parker Lake. Erin and I managed to sneak out a few times!
We even went on an evening excursion to Black Bear Lodge. Can you believe they invited 15 extra guests to dinner?!? A huge thank you to Jim and Jillian at Black Bear Lodge for letting us come hang out and eat supper. We had such a great time!
Here is my mom and Gran out at Black Bear Lodge:
We have more pictures to share from our super fun week with wonderful family and friends. But for now I have to get going and catch up on some town errands before another group arrives tomorrow. Can it be true that we are almost in the second half of July? Time flies when you are having fun!
