For those of you that like to fish with leeches, don’t plan on buying them in Red Lake this season. Red Lake Marine and TJ’s Quik Stop have both indicated they are currently out of leeches and don’t plan to resupply this season. You can’t transport leeches across the border so your best bet will be checking in Fort Frances or Dryden.
We have never purchased bait in these towns so I can’t speak to quality, size, pricing, etc. But here are a couple of places to try that we found on the Googles.

As a reminder you CANNOT bring night crawlers in dirt, leeches, orlive minnows across the border.
You CAN bring night crawlers in bedding or salted minnows across the border.
