Greetings from my family to yours! We are so excited to officially introduce ourselves. We are looking forward to meeting each and every one of you.
We currently live in the small town of Dalhart, Texas located in the top of the Texas Panhandle. Dalhart is known for hosting the World’s Largest free BBQ during its’ annual XIT rodeo and reunion which attracts thousands of people from across the world. It shouldn’t be much of a surprise to learn that cows far out number people here. And while we aren’t much of what you would consider “farmers” we do have our southern roots and love for sweet tea.
My youngest daughter Halle (16) is a junior in high school and with college approaching fast she is ready for her senior year. She is still uncertain if she wants to major in Art and work as an art teacher or if she wants to become a pediatric nurse. My eldest son, Connor (19), is a sophomore in college. He is currently attending the University of Denver pursuing majors in chemistry and physics. He has the hopes of one day operating his own nuclear reactor to study how to control nuclear reactions to power the world’s energy needs. His passion for science has been clear since he was a young boy. When not studying Connor likes photography and graphic design, expect to see his work in the upcoming months. Connor and Halle have been inseparable since they were younger. They are both looking forward adventures at Eagle Falls this summer.
Holly, my late wife, was a beloved nurse for 15 years and a nursing instructor for 4 years at a local college. She truly had a gift for helping those in need and was always there for the ones that needed her most. Unfortunately, she unexpectedly passed away in June of 2013 due to heart complications. However, her memory and compassion still lives on and shines through us daily. If she was alive today she’d support this new journey we are all embarking on.
I currently work as an electrician for a local residential electric company. In my free time I love to hunt, fish, and be outdoors. I have a passion for the Colorado grasslands. Aside from working I spend time hunting wildlife, playing golf, and fly fishing small mountain streams in New Mexico.
As a family, we are excited to take the leap of faith in tackling this new and exciting adventure of owning Eagle Falls Lodge. We know that we will face many challenges, but are thrilled to call Eagle Falls Lodge home. We look forward to meeting each of you this summer and sharing unforgettable memories at such an amazing peace of Heaven. As always if you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask!
