Projects, Projects, and More Projects

Week 8 of our season is generally a week of relaxation and a time to catch up on those projects that we have put off and finally have a little time to complete them. As usual, there was little time to relax as we spent the week working on some very special projects.

Jan spent a good portion of the week planting flowers and working on a very special project. Several years ago a longtime guest of Eagle Falls Lodge, Clyde Hudson passed away and some of Clyde’s friends and relatives establish a memorial fund that was used to establish a memorial garden displaying a plaque in honor of Clyde. We are honored and truly grateful for the opportunity to complete this project and would again like to say “Thank you” to all that made this possible.

Jan also spent some time working on all of the flower pots throughout the camp and they are sure beautiful!

Mother nature and time had definitely taken their toll on the guest cabin’s roof and it needed to be replaced.

As usual, Nate and Ben worked their magic and did an awesome job putting on a new metal roof and it looks Great!!

Other projects that were completed were the installation of hand safety handrails on the docks. We now have a safety handrail on every boat making it safer and easier for our guests to get in and out of their boats. Again a big SHOUT OUT to Nate and Ben for insuring the safety of our guests.

Last but not least we completed the replacement of our dining room tables with new tables that allows for a more flexible ad friendly seating arrangement throughout the dining room area.

Finally, we’ve been putting the final touches on installing new carpet in the two-story cabin.

As always our week flew by fast, we are all ready to kick off the second half of the season with expectations of great fish, fun, and of course unforgettable memories!

Take care,

The Holiski’s
