Today was the first day of the Red Lake Fall Classic Walleye tournament in town. Phil and Kyle were up extra early to head in for check-in and be ready for the 7 am start. I didn’t make it up to see them this morning, but we did go into town this afternoon to watch them weigh in and see how they did.
Well….they are in 4th place! They are doing awesome! Their weight total for day 1 was 16.52lbs, less than .5lbs behind the tournament leader. For those unfamiliar with this tournament, each boat is allowed to weigh in 5 fish (3 under 18″ and 2 over 21″).
It was so much fun to go to the weigh in, and I want to do a more detailed tournament recap after it is finished tomorrow. We just wanted to get some quick results out to Kyle and Phil’s fans.
Check out the tournament website for more info, as they are supposed to update results throughout the tournament as well: www.redlakefallclassic.com.
Check back tomorrow to find out how they finished!
