Our first group will be arriving in two short days. Hard to believe that in less than a week the 2016 season will be underway. To celebrate opening weekend, we took a break from all our hard work to catch some fish and make an inaugural walleye cheezer!  The walleye bite finally turned on for Parker.  Northern pike and smallmouth bass are still biting well also.

A few folks have asked us if we have any big projects for this summer. Travis said it best when he remarked that they would probably reveal themselves. Yikes! Such is life at the lodge. Opening the camp this spring was pretty routine, hopefully we haven’t burned up our good luck! Did I just jinx us by writing this on the blog?  We have been busy this week putting a dent in our to-do list.  During the season it always seems to grow faster than we can cross things off.  If we were to tackle a big project, what would you like to see?  Something new? Maybe an improvement project of some kind? Let us know!

In other news: Cosmo has been keeping up with his daily swims and is anxiously awaiting for all his friends to start arriving. I told him just two more big sleeps until the fun starts! He looked at me, got up, and went to his bed. No joke.

  1. My name is Bob Wiese from Gladbrook, IA. My wife is a first cousin of Beth Mack. My son and grand sons would be interested in fishing atyour lake sometime next year. Could you keep us in mind as to any openings? My son is a doctor and needs to know quite a way in advance to get his schedule worked out. Thank you very much for considering us. Bob Wiese

      Hi Bob,

Great to hear from you. We will keep you in mind for openings for 2017 and let you know as they come available. So far the only week with availability next season is May 27 – June 2, but that could change. Let us know if that would work.

      Take care,
      Travis & Carrie
