The week 10 crew is one we always look forward to having up. Good fishermen (and women) and even better company. The groups that were here this week spoiled us rotten. They bring our favorite treats (cashews and Cherry Coke Zero for me, Monster mix for Travis, and Milkbone treats for Cosmo) and even let me win a few rounds of cribbage! One night a few guests even treated us to homemade pizza! Thank you to all.
Remember the heat I told you about?
Well, here is some proof. This must be the day someone marked surface temperature at 78 degrees. Crazy, right?
Don’t worry they didn’t spend all their time IN the water. They caught their fair share of fish while beating the heat – and them some once it cooled off.
Here is Dave with a 25″ walleye and another 20+” walleye:
Chad got this 21.5″ walleye on Parker:
Here is Terry with a 25.5″ walleye off of Red Lake:
Dan and George found some nice slot sized northern pike throughout the week.
Dan also got this fat 22″ walleye on Red Lake:
As per usual, Natalie kept up with the guys. Here she is with a 23″ walleye:
More smallmouth!
The big fish of the week goes to Matt. He caught and released a 28″ walleye on Red Lake – despite the heat!
Shawn and Jeffrey made their second trip up this year.
Jeffrey caught this 13″ smallmouth on Red Lake:
Jeffrey caught his first Muskie yesterday! An adventure day for sure!
And just think, all those fish were released back into the water! Nice work everyone.
