Week 8 and 9 Update!

It’s hard to believe we’re on the home stretch of the 2017 fishing season! It has been a blast, but lots of work as well. We know we don’t post quite as much as Carrie did, but she had years to perfect the art of lodge life so bear with us as we adjust.

Week 8 (7/15-7/21) was a great week! Even a bear made a flash appearance skirting on the outside of camp by the large cabin. Fishing on Parker Lake has produced 10 master angler entries for our catch and release replica program this season! Fishing remains great, but the walleye have dispersed and are being caught in a little deeper water.

Check out this picture of Bob Wiese’s 28.5 inch walleye caught on Red Lake, Bob came up to the lodge with his son and four grandsons, each had a wonderful week of fishing and spending some quality time with their family. Bob has been fishing in Canada for past 50 years and caught this giant walleye… his BIGGEST WALLEYE ever!! This is the second biggest walleye of the season!

Mark Ingram also caught a nice 18″ smallmouth bass. Congratulations to Mark on his entry into out Catch and Release Replica Program!

Thanks for a great week guys!

Week 9 (7/22-7/28) was an another exciting week as we had Zach Netten, who was the young man who came up as a guest of the Make- A- Wish foundation a couple of years ago. Zach is doing great and attending University of Wisconsin Eau Claire now. Along with Zach, we had several other of his family members (three generations worth) at the lodge. From young to old, avid to laid-back —  there is fishing for everyone and thats what makes Eagle Falls Lodge unique. Zach’s family all had a great time and caught some nice fish. We’re very thankful that Zach is doing well and we look forward to him making many more trips to Eagle Falls Lodge! Check out some of their fish!

Meanwhile life at the lodge has been busy, fun and exciting! We are enjoying meeting all of our new guests and are already looking with great anticipation to next years’ season!!
